With the 2025 race season now complete, planning has shifted to the 2026 WPCA Pro Tour.
The top 32 drivers in the 2025 WPCA Pro Tour Year-End World Standings have automatically qualified for full-season membership in 2026. The remaining positions will be determined through the Permit Driver process, which is now open.
Through this process, eligible chuckwagon drivers—approved by the WPCA Board of Directors—are offered the opportunity to compete for spots on the 2026 WPCA Pro Tour.
Key details:
- Application deadline: October 31
- Guaranteed starts: Approved Permit Drivers will be guaranteed entries at the first two shows of the 2026 WPCA Pro Tour — the Grande Prairie Stompede and the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship.
- Progression: After Bonnyville, the top four Permit Drivers in the World Point Standings will earn the right to continue to the next WPCA event.
- Additional opportunities: The remaining Permit Driver may be invited to compete at additional 2026 WPCA Pro Tour shows if spots become available.
- Official rules: Full details will be provided directly to drivers who apply and are approved by the WPCA Board of Directors.
