Today, the Strathmore & District Agricultural Society (SDAS) announced that tickets for the 2021 Strathmore Stampede will go on sale May 1, 2021. This year’s Stampede will be hosted July 30 – August 2, 2021 at the Agriterra Strathmore Ag Stadium.
“We were thrilled to receive the letter from Dr. Hinshaw that rodeo season is expected to go ahead this summer,” said Ryan Schmidt, CEO of the SDAS. “Athletes, fans, and organizers across Alberta have been itching for this great news. We are full steam ahead planning an incredible weekend for our fans at the Strathmore Stampede, and can’t wait to see the stands filled again!”
This announcement is in keeping with Alberta Health Service’s (AHS) plan to lift all attendance restrictions on rodeos by late July – subject to case load and vaccination progress at that point in time. Of course, the SDAS will be working closely with AHS and local health & safety officials to ensure that all public health protocols will be in place at this years Strathmore Stampede. All ticket holders will be expected to follow AHS guidelines over the rodeo weekend. More details closer to the date will follow.
“The Strathmore Stampede will be loaded with action: From World Professional Chuckwagon races and Professional Rodeo to our one-of-a-kind Running with the Bulls event, the 2021 Strathmore Stampede won’t miss a beat!” said Mr. Schmidt. The Strathmore Stampede contributes approximately $4 million annually to the local economy and sees 40,000 attendees through the gates each year.

All tickets rolled over into 2021 will be accepted. All season ticket holders will be called to renew their seats.
*In the case that the 2021 Strathmore Stampede is cancelled due to AHS’ Covid19 public health measures, all tickets will be refunded.
