The new WPCA Elite Team Series took another step last Saturday when the team for Keddies Western Wear was announced during the Grande Prairie Stompede Tarp Auction.

Jeff Keddie, owner of Keddies Western Wear in Grande Prairie, showed the Grande Prairie spirit when he picked Kirk Sutherland, Dean Dreger, Derek Aebly and Dayton Sutherland.

The next team will be announced during the Century Downs World Finals Tarp Auction on April 21st with the final 3 teams announced at the Ponoka Stampede Tarp Auction on May 5th.

The team series is built around the Western Wear Industry with brand leaders Wrangler and Roper.

While they are competitors for display space, listings and sales in retail locations, “Wrangler and Roper” have put their industry competition aside and joined forces with 4 leading retailers to form the WPCA Elite Team Series. Along with $20,000.00 in prize money in year one, teams will be competing for the Western Retailers Cup.
