Chanse Vigen – First Place On Night 2 In Dawson Creek

Times were a little faster as night 2 of the Battle of the North at Mile “0†of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, British Columbia was run on Thursday evening. When the dust finally settled, it was Vigen who won another Alberta AG Centre Fast Time of the Night after a penalty free run of 1:12.77.
From barrel number 3 in the 9th heat Vigen’s Volker Stevin Canada rig was the top wagon of the night by a 71 one-hundredths of a second margin over former Battle of the North Champion Obrey Motowylo who placed second for the evening. Chance Bensmiller placed third, Darcy Flad placed fourth, with Jason Glass completing the top five fastest wagons on the night.
After two runs, Obrey Motowylo leads the overall aggregate standings with a combined time of 2:28.05. That’s just 18 one-hundredths of a second better than Chance Bensmiller, with Chanse Vigen and Chanse Vigen making out the top four. Dy 1 winner Evan Magee is just 23 one-hundredths of a second out of that ever so important fourth spot overall.
The top driver in the aggregate after Saturday night will get a one-year lease of a 2025 GMC Truck courtesy of Banister GM Dawson Creek. The top 4 drivers in the aggregate after Saturday’s run will go into $30,000.00 Championship Final Heat where the winner will be crowned the 2025 Battle of the North Champion.
