Vern Nolin – Number 1 on Night 1 In Dewberry

It was a warm evening under overcast skies, racetrack conditions were good, and some close chuckwagon races were seen by the chuckwagon fans on opening night of the Dewberry World Chuckwagon Races. When the night wrapped up it was local hero Vern Nolin who opened up the show with the fast time of the night with a run of 1:09.86.

Coming off barrel number 3 in heat number 4, Nolin, driving the JK Cattle Company outfit placed first overall for the day by just 6 one-hundredths of a second over Jamie Laboucane. Chad Fike grabbed third place on the night, with  Dustin Gorst and Dayton Sutherland filling out the top five on opening night.

The top 3 drivers in the aggregate after Saturday night will go into the $25,000.00 championship final heat on Sunday where the winner will claim the 2023 Dewberry World Chuckwagon Races Championship.

Day two of the Dewberry will run on Saturday night, June 17, 2023 starting at 7:00pm Mountain time.
