The World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) is pleased to launch a new logo in preparation for the lead up to the 2024 race season.

The design continues to incorporate the wagon outfit that was used in the old logo. The wagon outfit over time has come to symbolize the sport of chuckwagon racing, with 4 horses, a wagon and a driver heading around the bottom barrel towards the racetrack.

The World Professional Chuckwagon Association has always been referred to and promoted as the WPCA, a symbol which stands for the ultimate in professional chuckwagon racing. The colors stay consistent with the old logo.  The WPCA image is prominent and bolded in red to embody the dynamic, energetic and positive spirit of the sport. Combined with the wagon outfit, the logo provides a focus on professional chuckwagon racing and is modernized.

The branding initiative was spearheaded by WPCA general manager Paul Ryneveld in conjunction with Ken Malvin who manages the WPCA Merchandise Trailer. “The original 1980 logo captured the essence of the new association at the time” says Ryneveld, “It represents a time before digital and social media. The revised logo is an evolution just as the sport of Chuckwagon Racing and the WPCA have evolved over time”.

Ryneveld added, “the logo can be used as shown, with the writing removed or with either the “WPCA” lettering or wagon separately.”

The final design was approved at a recent WPCA board meeting and will be officially available on WPCA merchandise starting at the Grande Prairie Stompede.

“We are excited to help bring this modernized logo to chuckwagon fans” said Ken and Myrnie Malvin, “we hope fans are as excited as we are with the new logo.”

The first stop on the 2024 WPCA Pro Tour presented by GMC will be at the Grande Prairie Stompede from May 29 – June 2.
