The World Professional Chuckwagon Association is excited to announce the return of the UFA Rookie Racer program for the 2026 WPCA Pro Tour season, giving young chuckwagon racing fans the chance to experience the sport like never before.
Designed to create unforgettable memories and inspire the next generation of chuckwagon enthusiasts, the UFA Rookie Racer program offers kids ages 5 to 12 an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at select WPCA Pro Tour events throughout the season. At every 2026 WPCA event, 10 lucky youngsters, each accompanied by a parent or guardian, will be randomly selected to become a UFA Rookie Racer for the day.
Each UFA Rookie Racer experience includes:
- An exclusive UFA Rookie Racer T-shirt
- Two tickets to a Saturday WPCA performance
- A special behind-the-barns tour
- A photo opportunity and autograph session with a WPCA driver
The program is designed to bring families closer to the excitement, heritage, and community that make chuckwagon racing one of Western Canada’s most thrilling sports.“Programs like the UFA Rookie Racer experience help create the next generation of chuckwagon racing fans,” said Bryan Hebson, Marketing Manager for the WPCA. “It’s an opportunity for kids to get up close to the horses, meet the drivers, and experience the excitement of race day from a completely different perspective.
