THE 20 DRIVERS COMPETING IN THE TEAM SERIES NOW OFFICIAL

Ahead of the 2023 WPCA Pro Tour presented by GMC, the WPCA confirmed last week the complete four-driver rosters that will represent each of the five teams competing for the Western Retailers Cup in the Elite Team Series.

The teams were picked by a representative from either the retailer or the show committee through a draft format back in February.

The 2023 Elite Team Series will feature five teams representing retailers in the Western Wear Industry. Keddies Tack and Western Wear (Grande Prairie), Jones Boys (Ponoka), Lammles (Strathmore), and Henry's Western Wear (Rocky Mountain House) are the four participating retailers, with Century Downs Racetrack and Casino named as the fifth team.

The rosters are:

TEAM KEDDIES (Grande Prairie): 

• Dean Dreger (Grande Prairie, Alberta)
• Derek Aebly (Grande Prairie, Alberta)
• Kirk Sutherland (Grande Prairie, Alberta),
• Dayton Sutherland (Okotoks, Alberta)

TEAM JONES BOYS (Ponoka):

• Obrey Motowylo (Hoadley, Alberta)
• Troy Dorchester (Westerose, Alberta)
• Cruise Bensmiller (Dewberry, Alberta)
• Wade Salmond (Weekes, Saskatchewan)

TEAM LAMMLES (Strathmore): 

• Jason Glass (High River, Alberta)
• Kris Molle (Chauvin, Alberta)
• Chance Bensmiller (Pine Lake, Alberta)
• Chad Fike (Cremona, Alberta)

TEAM HENRY'S WESTERN WEAR (Rocky Mountain House):

• Rae Croteau Jr. (Rapid View, Saskatchewan)
• Doug Irvine (La Corey, Alberta)
• Ross Knight (St. Walburg, Saskatchewan)
• Chance Flad (Arrowwood, Alberta)

TEAM CENTURY DOWNS (Rocky View County):

• Dustin Gorst (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan)
• Layne MacGillivray (Halkirk, Alberta)
• Chanse Vigen (Calgary, Alberta)
• Jordie Fike (High River, Alberta)

The five-show series will feature 24 days of competition that will culminate at the Century Downs Racetrack and Casino World Finals.

Action for the 2023 Elite Team Series gets underway on May 31st in Grande Prairie, Alberta, at Evergreen Park.
