Lane Tournier – First Career WPCA Pro Tour First Place Run On Night 2 In High River

Coming off barrel number 3 in heat number 5, Tournier was the fast man on the night by 66 one-hundredths of a second over Dustin Gorst. Todd Baptiste grabbed third place on the night, with Chanse Vigen and Chad Fike completing the top five on night number two.
Two top five runs were good enough to lift Chanse Vigen into first place in the overall aggregate standings with a two-day combined time of 2:31.40. Kris Molle sits second overall, just 17 one-hundredths of a second behind overall leader Chanse Vigen. Alberta AG Centre Fast Time of the Night winner Lane Tournier moved from tenth place at the start of the day into third place overall, with Chad Fike filling out the top four overall. Dustin Gorst is in fifth place overall, 77 one-hundreds of a second out of the fourth and final qualifying spot for Sunday’s Championship Final Heat.
The top 4 drivers after the first 3 nights of racing will qualify for Sunday’s Battle of the Foothills Championship Final Heat. The winner of Sunday’s Championship Final will be crowned the Battle of the Foothills Champion.
