Jamie Laboucane Opens Up The 2025 Wainwright Stampede With The Top Run

For the first time since 1983, the World Professional Chuckwagon Association returned to the city of Wainwright and the running of the Wainwright Stampede. Despite some afternoon rains and the threat of heavy rains, Mother Nature withheld her wrath, and it turned out to be a perfect night of chuckwagon racing. When the night wrapped up, it was Jamie Laboucane who got the Alberta AG Centre Fast Time of the Night after posting a time of 1:04.14.

From barrel number two in the eleventh heat, Laboucane’s Wild Rows Pump & Compression Ltd. outfit won top money for the night by just 9 one-hundredths of a second over Rae Croteau Jr.. Jason Glass placed third, Chance Flad was fourth, while Darcy Flad and D.J. King split fifth and sixth place on the day after being involved in a rare dead heat in heat number five.
