Chanse Vigen – Second Consecutive Day Money Run At the Grande Prairie Stompede

Night 4 of the Grande Prairie Stompede was the final night for the drivers to try and qualify for Sunday’s $41,000.00 Championship Final Heat where the winner will take home the 2024 Grande Prairie Stompede Championship. When the aggregate times were calculated Jamie Laboucane, Jason Glass, Chad Fike, and Wade Salmond will be the four drivers bidding for the championship.
Jamie Laboucane, driving the Wild Rows Pump & Compression Ltd. outfit, qualified for Sunday’s final in first place overall with a four-day combined time of 5:14.64 and will receive the Ralph Vigen Memorial Award for having the best aggregate time, and a year’s use of a brand new GMC Truck compliments of Summit Fleet. Former Grande Prairie Stompede Champion Jason Glass qualified in second place overall, with Chad Fike slipping from first to third place overall, with Wade Salmond hanging on to fourth and final place in Sunday’s championship final. Layne MacGillivray missed out of the final four, finishing fifth overall and missing the championship final by just 13 one-hundredths of a second.
On the night, Chanse Vigen was the day money winner for the second consecutive night. From barrel two in the tenth heat, Vigen’s Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd. outfit placed first on the day by 39 one-hundredths of a second over Kris Molle, with Layne MacGillivray, Preston Faithful and Evan Salmond filling out the top five on the night.
Day five of the Grande Prairie Stompede can be heard live Sunday night, on New Country 910 starting at 9:00pm Eastern, 8:00pm Central, 7:00pm Mountain Time.
