Jamie Laboucane – Makes A Huge Jump After A Huge Run On Day 4 In Dawson Creek

It was the fourth perfect night weather wise in Dawson Creek, British Columbia for 2023 Battle of the North Championship, and the final four have been set for Sunday’s $30,000.00 Championship Final Heat. When things shook out, Jamie Laboucane, Chanse Vigen, Rae Croteau Jr. and Chance Thomson survived the cut and will compete in what should be a thrilling championship final at the Battle of the North.
World Points leader Jamie Laboucane, driving the Wild Rows Pump & Compression Ltd. Came from over two-seconds back at the start of the day to finish first in overall aggregate standings with a four-day combined time of 5:03.54, and will get the use of a 2023 GMC Truck for 1 year for his efforts. Laboucane will be joined by Chanse Vigen, Rae Croteau Jr. and Chance Thomson in Sunday’s Championship Final. Evan Salmond finished in 5th place overall and just missed Sunday’s final by 73 one-hundreds of a second. It will be the first appearance in a Championship Final Heat for driver Chance Thomson.
On the night, from barrel number 4 in the 9th heat, Jamie Laboucane was also the fast wagon of the night by 98 one-hundredths of a second margin over Chanse Vigen who placed second on the night. Chad Fike placed third, while Jason Glass and Mitch Sutherland finished fourth and fifth on the night respectively.
