One year after winning the WPCA Top Rookie Outrider Award, Weston made history in 2024 when he became the first outrider to outride for his grandfather in a championship final heat when he did so behind Kirk Sutherland at the 2024 Medicine Hat Stampede. He competed in his first championship final heat at the 2023 Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship in 2023 behind his father Mitch, and was a part of grampa Kirk’s track record run on day 4 of the Century Downs World Finals.
Outside of chuckwagon racing, Weston is an accomplished athlete, competing in U18 Baseball, Hockey, Volleyball, Football and some motorsports such as riding dirt bikes and sno-mobiles. Weston has also excelled at basketball, being selected to play in a high school All-Star Game. A student at Peace Wapiti Academy, Weston has a girlfriend Bradlee, and makes his home in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
