Wade has quickly established himself as one of the WPCA Pro Tour’s rising talents, highlighted by winning the Calgary Stampede’s Orville Strandquist Top Rookie Driver Award in 2023. He has also earned equine honours with selections to the WPCA Equine Outfit of Excellence (2022) and the Calgary Stampede/WPCA Equine Athlete of Excellence (2024).
In 2025, Wade posted eleven top-ten runs, including four top-five runs, with his best result being a top ten overall finish at the Medicine Hat Stampede. He also finished sixth in the aggregate at the CPCA Lloydminster Finals. A second-generation driver, Wade comes from a strong chuckwagon family. Prior to the pro ranks, he spent 25 years in pony chuckwagons and chariots, winning numerous championships.
Off the track, Wade is a rancher and co-owns a logging business with his family. He and his wife Kim have three children — Marty, Jorja, and Lukas — and live in Weekes, Saskatchewan.
