Get to Know More About the Driver

After a successful career in the Western Chuckwagon Association (WCA) that began in 2008, Todd made the full time jump to the WPCA in 2023, a came home with the WPCA’s Top Rookie Driver Award.  He started off the 2023 season with a bang recording a 3rd place run on night 2 of the Grande Prairie Stompede, and over the season he recorded five top ten runs, including two runs that placed inside the top five. A tenth place overall finish at the North American Chuckwagon Championship in Lloydminster was his best of the year, and he qualified as one of the permit drivers to compete at the WPCA World Finals at Century Downs. 

Todd started his career in 2008 on the WCA circuit and received the WCA Safety & Sportsmanship Award in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2018. He won his first show at the WCA’s Dawson Creek Exhibition in 2017, and placed in the top ten overall in the Western Association six times including his last 3 seasons consecutively, including a runner-up finish for the WCA Championship in 2019.

Todd works for Obsidian Energy and runs a small cow/calf operation. He enjoys his kids hockey and riding saddle horses. Todd and his wife Jennifer have two children – Kendall and Kade. The McCrackens own the Manning Veterinary Clinic and make their home in Manning, Alberta.
