A veteran of the CPCA circuit, Ryan returns to the WPCA Pro Tour in 2026 as a Permit Driver for the second straight season. In 2025, he posted 31 top-ten runs, including 17 top-five runs and two day-money runs, while winning the CPCA Waterhen Lake show and the Dash for Cash at Onion Lake Cree Nation. He also qualified for two Dash for Cash heats and the CPCA Championship Final.

Ryan is a three-time CPCA show champion, a two-time Dash for Cash winner, and a two-time recipient of both the CPCA Safe Driver and Most Improved Driver awards. He began his career as an outrider in 2004.

A second-generation driver, Ryan is the nephew of 1996 Calgary Stampede Champion Edgar Baptiste and the younger brother of driver Todd Baptiste. In the off-season, he works as a big game outfitter and operates the Red Pheasant Arena. Ryan and his wife Naomi have five children and reside on the Red Pheasant Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.
