Despite a mid-season injury thatkept him sidelined for part of the North American Chuckwagon Championship in Lloydminster, Quaid’s return to the WPCA Pro Tour after a three-year absence was a triumphant one. He captured two show championships at the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship and the Ponoka Stampede behind his father Luke Tournier, and rode in additional championship final heat behind Wade Salmond at the Grande Prairie Stompede.
Quaid is a two-time winner of the Ponoka Stampede and a two-time winner of the Rod Glass Memorial Award for Most Improved Outrider. He is the son of chuckwagon great Luke Tournier, and brother-in-law to driver Logan Gorst. Quaid enjoys hockey and hunting in the off season. Quaid and Desiree have three boys – Kayden, Lukas and Walker – and make their home in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan.
