Lane made his WPCA Pro Tour debut in 2025 as a replacement driver for his father Luke following a season-ending injury at the Wainwright Stampede, and his first season was nothing short of spectacular. He captured back-to-back show championships at the Poundmaker Chuckwagon Classic and the Teepee Creek Stampede, setting two track records in the process. Lane qualified for championship final heats at Poundmaker and Strathmore, drove in the Battle of the Rockies final as a replacement for Chanse Vigen, and recorded fourteen top-ten runs, including seven wins and four additional top-five finishes. He added two more top-ten overall finishes to cap off an outstanding rookie campaign.
Lane began his career on the CPCA circuit in 2016, competing through 2021 before an unscheduled return in 2025. A second-generation driver, he is the son of chuckwagon legend Luke Tournier, brother of former outrider Quaid Tournier, and brother-in-law to fellow driver Logan Gorst. Lane works as a horse chiropractor in the off-season and, with his longtime girlfriend Leah, makes his home in Blackfalds, Alberta.
