The 2024 season was another excellent one for Josh. He recorded the first two day money runs of his career at the Ponoka Stampede and the North American Chuckwagon Championship in Lloydminster, and recorded a pair of top ten overall finishes at the Medicine Hat Stampede and the North American Chuckwagon Championship. He recorded twelve top ten runs including the two first place runs and four runs that also placed inside the top five. Josh was the WPCA Top Rookie Driver in 2018, and in 2019 he received both the Herman Flad Memorial Award symbolic of the WPCA’s Most Improved Driver and the Kenn Borek Memorial Award for most sportsmanlike driver at the Battle of the North.
Josh was introduced to chuckwagon racing by the Bensmiller family and started working as a barn hand for Chance Bensmiller on the WPCA Pro Tour in 2008. In 2013 Josh started outriding for Chance Bensmiller after Chance moved to the CPCA circuit. Josh works for ATCO Electric as a lineman in the off season and enjoys hockey and baseball. Josh has three daughters Brooklynn, Layla and Everly, and along with his wife Alissa, make their home in Dewberry, Alberta.
