Evan took a major step forward in 2025, highlighted by several career firsts. He qualified for his first Championship Final Heat at the Battle of the Foothills and recorded his first three WPCA day-money runs in High River, Dawson Creek, and Rocky Mountain House—the latter briefly setting a track record. He finished the season with 12 top-ten runs, six top-five runs, and three top-ten aggregate results. He will be a Chuckwagon 101 Driver at the 2026 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby.
Evan began his career in the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) in 2003 as an outrider for his father, Elton Magee, and made his driving debut in 2008. After racing for two in the Western Chuckwagon Association (WCA), he returned to the CPCA in 2015. A third-generation driver, Evan comes from a strong racing background and credits his father and several veteran drivers as key mentors.
Off the track, he owns and operates Saskatoon Mobile Repair. Evan and his wife, Allison have two children – Kody and Aaliyah – and make their home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
