One of the premier outriders in the sport today, Ethan enjoyed another standout season on the WPCA Pro Tour in 2025. He was part of show victories at the Grande Prairie Stompede with his father, Obrey Motowylo, and added major wins at the Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby and Battle of the Foothills riding behind Chanse Vigen. He outrode in all nine championship final heats and was the High Point Outrider at two shows.
A two-time Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Outrider and Ponoka Stampede Champion, Ethan is also a two-time Rod Glass Memorial Award winner as the WPCA’s Most Improved Outrider and the 2016 Top Rookie Outrider. In 2024, he earned the Calgary Stampede Outstanding Outrider Award and captured his second straight World Outriding Championship. Ethan works as a farrier in the off-season. He and his fiancée Jayda reside in Hoadley, Alberta.
