A fourth-generation competitor, Branson recently completed his fifth season as an outrider. In 2025, he rode for D.J. King and Tuff Dreger, highlighted by a Championship Final Heat appearance at the Battle of the Rockies with Chanse Vigen.
His 2024 season was a breakthrough, splitting time between the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) and WPCA Pro Tour, earning his first buckles while helping King win three CPCA shows. From a strong racing family that includes his uncle – former Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Chad Harden, Branson debuted in 2021 at the Strathmore Stampede.
He now farms and ranches and lives in Mulhurst Bay, Alberta, with Kaylee and their daughter Steele.
