An exciting driver from the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) circuit, Brad has accomplished quite a bit in just seven short years as a professional chuckwagon driver, and for the second consecutive year will be competing as a Permit Driver on the 2023 WPCA Pro Tour. In 2022, Brad competed with the WPCA at the Grande Prairie Stompede and the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship, capturing the day money on his final run at Bonnyville. On the CPCA circuit, Brad won two show championships in consecutive weeks at the Little Pine First Nation and at the Frog Lake First Nation, qualifying for the championship final at the Frog Lake First Nation. He posted 26 top ten runs, including a day money run at Little Pine and ten runs that also cracked the top five. In addition to his two wins, Brad top ten overall finishes at the Poundmaker Cree Nation and the Meadow Lake Stampede were his best of the season.
After an incredibly successful 15 year career driving chariots and pony wagons that saw him win just about every show, and thanks to the encouragement of fellow driver Kris Molle, Brad made the move to the thoroughbred chuckwagons, ran his first race in North Battleford in 2016, and was the CPCA’s Top Rookie Driver by year’s end. He won his first shows on the CPCA circuit in 2019 at North Battleford and Bonnyville – the same year he tied Ray Mitsuing’s CPCA record of six consecutive day money runs, and has won four Equine Awards with the CPCA.
Brad is the owner/operator of McMann Transport – a custom Silage business, and enjoys hockey, fishing, flat racing, and driving hi six Percheron Draught Horses. Brad and his girlfriend Nikki Krahn make their home in Chauvin, Alberta.
