Get to Know More About the Outrider

Ben got his start chuckwagon racing after after being recruited by his friend and fellow rookie outrider Jaron Danylchuk to come work with driver Dean Dreger and ultimately outride on the Western Chuckwagon Association circuit. Ben made his debut ride behind Dean Dreger at the Battle of the Foothills in High River in 2021, and continued to ride for Dreger in 2022.

A full time farrier, Ben is a graduate of the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School, and was a two-time qualifier for the Canadian High School Rodeo Finals in saddle bronc riding.  Ben continues to compete in saddle bronc riding and team roping when he is not outriding.

Ben enjoys hunting, fishing and training team roping horses in the off season. He is single and makes his home in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
