Chanse Vigen – Number One On Night Two In Grande Prairie

It was a warm 20°C in Grande Prairie for night two of the Grande Prairie Stompede. On a tough night for all competitors, Chanse Vigen emerged as the day money winner on the night with a penalty free run of 1:16.14.
Coming off barrel number 3 in heat number 9, Vigen, driving the Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd. outfit placed first overall for the day by a huge 1.17 seconds margin over reigning World Champion Layne MacGillivray. Todd McCracken placed third on the night, with Chad Fike and Logan Gorst rounding out the top five times on the night.
After two runs, Obrey Motowylo is tops in the aggregate standings with a two day combined time of 2:37.35. Chad Fike, Jason Glass and Evan Salmond make out the top four, with Chanse Vigen in fifth place overall, just 24 one-hundredths of a second outside the top four. The top 4 drivers in the aggregate after Saturday night will go into the winner-take-all championship final heat on Sunday where the winner will receive a big winner’s cheque and the Grande Prairie Stompede Championship. The top wagon in the aggregate after Saturday’s run will receive the Ralph Vigen Memorial Award and the use of a new GMC Truck for one year compliments of Summit Fleet and the Grande Prairie Stompede
