Kris Molle was in the crying hole, and finished in 4th place overall, 67 one-hundredths out of third, with Kurt Bensmiller rounding out the top five times overall.
On the day, it was Kris Molle and the Benoit Oilfield Construction outfit who won the day money with the fast run of the night after posting a 1:08.81 from barrel number 1 in heat number 5, 9 one-hundredths of a second over overall leader Chad Fike who ran in the same heat. Former Dewberry Champion Obrey Motowylo placed third on the night, with Vern Nolin and Dustin Gorst filling out the top five on opening night.
Day two of the Dewberry will run on Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2023 starting at 2:00pm Mountain time.
