Personal Information

2022 was another great season for Rory as he became the World Champion Outrider for the third time. He captured show championships at the Grande Prairie Stompede with Doug Irvine, Dewberry World Chuckwagon Races with Evan Salmond, Strathmore Stampede with Kurt Bensmiller and the Battle of the Rockies with Roger Moore, and for the sixth consecutive year was named the Outstanding Outrider at the Calgary Stampede.

Rory has twice won the Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby, three times the Calgary Stampede Aggregate title, and twice won the Ponoka Stampede. Rory started his outriding career in 2008 on the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) circuit. In just five years on the CPCA circuit, Rory twice was the CPCA Champion Outrider, and was the CPCA's High Point Rookie Outrider in 2008.

A farmer and rancher in the off season, Rory also works for as an oilfield maintenance worker for Ken's Oilfield, and enjoys team roping, hunting, fishing and hockey in his spare time. Rory and his wife Jamie have two daughters - Fletcher and Reece - and make their home in Mervin, Saskatchewan.
