Personal Information
A future champion outrider, Doug just completed his fifth consecutive year in the saddle on the WPCA Pro Tour. Doug was part of Reg Johnstone's Calgary Stampede Aggregate winner in 2011, was the recipient of the Rod Glass Memorial Award symbolic of the WPCA's Most Improved Outrider in 2013, and was the WPCA Top Rookie Outrider in 2010. Doug won his first show championship at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede in just his second year, outriding for the man who gave him his start in the chuckwagon business - Grant Profit. He made his debut ride behind Chance Bensmiller at the 2010 Colonial Days Fair in Lloydminster prior to making his first official ride on the WPCA Pro Tour behind John Walters on the final night of the Strathmore Heritage Days Stampede. Doug started his career as a barn hand for Grant Profit for many years prior to trying his hand as an outrider. Doug is an an oilfield worker in the off season, and has done some movie work appearing in the mini-series "Klondike." he served as the outrider representative on the WPCA board of directors the past two years. has a girlfriend Jaycee Bremner, and makes his home in Okotoks, Alberta.
