Personal Information
Jared Cardinal is a new outrider who just completed his rookie season in 2009. Growing up in Fort Vermillion, Alberta, Jared got his start in the chuckwagon business as a barn hand for Cody Ridsdale, and eventually moved up into outriding where he made his debut ride behind Ridsdale at the Grande Prairie Stompede in 2009. He won his first show in his rookie season at the 2009 Colonial Days Fair while riding for Darcy Flad, and received the Top Outrider Award at the Colonial Days Fair in Lloydminster as well. An accomplished hockey player, Jared represented Western Canada in the International Under 16 Tournament in Brandon Manitoba in 2005, and has played Junior "A" hockey with the Innisfil Lakers of the Greater Metro Jr. "A" Hockey League in Ontario. Jared is a second generation chuckwagon competitor, following in the footsteps of his father, Kirby Dachuk, who outrode for Glen Ridsdale. Jared works as a heavy equipment operator for D & A Excavating out of Grimshaw in the off season, is single, and enjoys hockey and hunting.
