Personal Information
One of the top outriders on the WPCA Pro Tour, 2018 was another solid season for Quaid. For the fourth consecutive year, Quaid placed inside the top five in the World Standings, and he was the high pointed outrider at the season ending Battle of the Rockies. Quaid is a two-time winner of the Rod Glass Memorial Award for Most Improved Outrider, and has won thirteen show championships over his career, with the biggest win of his career to date was at the Ponoka Stampede Championship outriding for Roger Moore in 2013. He is mainstay behind his father Luke’s wagon over the past ten seasons and has helped his father to some big wins including the World Chuckwagon Championship in 2016. Quaid grew up around chuckwagon racing as a barn hand for his father and received the “Hardest Working Kid” award from the CPCA when his father competed there. He is the son of chuckwagon great Luke Tournier, and brother-in-law to driver Logan Gorst. Quaid enjoys hockey and hunting in the off season, is single and makes his home in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan.
