Personal Information
The 2016 season was Quaid’s most successful to date. He won three show championship at the Ashley Richards Memorial Presented By Dakota Dunes Casino in Saskatoon outriding for Vern Nolin, as well as outriding for his father Luke Tournier’s outfit that won both the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship and the Battle of the North. Quaid was tops among all outriders for the number of shows as the high point outrider with three at the Ashley Richards Memorial Presented By Dakota Dunes Casino, Guy Weadick Days and the Battle of the North. He was a staple behind his father’s first career World Chuckwagon Championship en route to his own personal best 3rd place in the World Standings. Quaid is a two-time winner of the Rod Glass Memorial Award for Most Improved Outrider, and has won ten show championships over his ten-year career, with the biggest win of his career to date was at the Ponoka Stampede Championship outriding for Roger Moore in 2013. Quaid grew up around chuckwagon racing as a barn hand for his father and received the “Hardest Working Kid” award from the CPCA when his father competed there. Quaid enjoys hockey and hunting in the off season, is single and makes his home in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan.
