Personal Information
With over 50 buckles won in his distinguished career, Reo is one of chuckwagon racing’s all-time most decorated outriders. His most prominent victories were outriding for five Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Championship outfits, four Ponoka Stampede Championship outfits, and five Calgary Stampede Aggregate winning outfits. Reo was the WPCA’s Top Rookie Outrider in 1998 and is a two-time winner of the WPCA’s Rod Glass Memorial Award. A two sport athlete, Reo played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Calgary Junior “A” Royals, the Calgary Canucks and the Grande Prairie Storm. Reo is a second generation wagon man whose father Joe King was a top competitor throughout the 1970’s and 80’s. When he is not racing chuckwagons, Reo is an equine therapist and has worked on horses in prominent places such as the Dubai World Cup, Santa Anita Racetrack, Spruce Meadows, the U.S Open Polo Championship in Florida, the Queen’s Polo Cup in England, and the Kentucky Derby. He worked on "I'll Have Another" that won the first two legs of the 2012 Triple Crown by taking the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes. Reo enjoys hockey, horses, riding sno-mobiles, water sports and hunting. Reo and Rae-Lynn have three children – Quinn, Marley-Rae, and Gunner,  and make their home in Bassano, Alberta.
