Fast becoming one of the top drivers on the WPCA Pro Tour, Cody had a major breakthrough in 2018 when he won his first show championship as a professional chuckwagon driver at the Medicine Hat Stampede. 2018 also saw Cody post 17 top ten runs, including 6 runs that also cracked the top five. Including his win at Medicine Hat, Cody had 3 top ten overall aggregate finishes and placed a career best tenth in the World Standings. Cody was the recipient of the Kenn Borek Memorial Award for most sportsmanlike driver at the Battle of the North in 2014, and is a 2nd-generation chuckwagon driver whose father is former Calgary Stampede track record holder Glen Ridsdale. Cody started his career at the tender age of 15 with the Western Chuckwagon Association (WCA) in 2003, has won 3 WCA show championships at Rio Grande Rodeo, Manning Rodeo, and the Teepee Creek Stampede, and qualified for the championship final heat at the WCA’s season ending event in Dawson Creek in 2007. Cody owns Ridsco Oilfield Services and works for Triple K Oilfield Services in the off season. He and enjoys hockey and hunting. Originally from Paddle Prairie, Alberta, Cody and his fiancée Katrina make their home in Edmonton, Alberta.
