As a chuckwagon driver, Mike has five major wins with the most prominent victory of his career coming at the Ponoka Stampede in 1998. He holds the track record at the Battle of the Rockies, has had two horses named to the WPCA Equine Outfit of Excellence, two horses named to the Calgary Stampede Equine Outfit of Excellence, received the WPCA Showmanship Award in 2000, and was the WPCA’s Most Improved Driver in 1996. Mike is a four–time World Champion Outrider, and outrode for five Calgary Stampede GMC Rangeland Derby Championship outfits, four Calgary Stampede Aggregate winners, and seven Ponoka Stampede winners.
