Personal Information
An elite outrider and perennial bridesmaid, for the third time in just four seasons on the WPCA Pro Tour, Rory was runner-up to the World Outriding Championship. He did capture back to back show championships in 2016 at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede with Doug Irvine and Guy Weadick Days with Mark Sutherland, and for the second consecutive year he was honored with the Calgary Stampede Outstanding Outrider Award. He was also the high point outrider at the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship and the Strathmore Stampede. Rory started his outriding career in 2008 after attending outriding great Dale Gray's outriding school in the spring and began his rookie season soon after with the Laboucane family on the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) circuit. In just five years on the CPCA circuit, Rory twice was the CPCA Champion Outrider, and was the CPCA's High Point Rookie Outrider in 2008. The biggest win of his career so far came in 2011 when he outrode for Neal Walgenbach's Calgary Stampede Aggregate winner. A farmer and rancher in the off season, Rory also works for as an oilfield maintenance worker for Ken's Oilfield, and enjoys team roping, hunting, fishing and hockey in his spare time. Rory and his wife Jamie have a daughter - Fletcher -  and makes their home in Mervin, Saskatchewan.
