Personal Information
An aspiring young outrider, Cole won the first show of his career in 2012 at the Colonial Days Fair in LLoydminster outriding for Barry Hodgson, and won again in Lloydminster in 2013 outriding for Roger Moore. Cole was the 2011 WPCA Top Rookie Outrider, and made his debut rides at the 2011 Colonial Days Fair in Lloydminster riding for Ervin Quinny and Doug Irvine. He made his first official ride on the WPCA Pro Tour behind Doug Irvine on the second night of the Martin Deerline Capital Ex Chuckwagon Derby in Edmonton. Cole followed in the footsteps of his older brother Chance and started his chuckwagon career as a barn hand working for driver Doug Irvine prior to starting to outride. Cole is the great-nephew of former driver the late Herman Flad, and cousin to drivers Troy and Darcy Flad, and younger brother to outrider Chance Flad. He works as a farmhand in the off season, has a girlfriend Nicole, and enjoys hunting and playing hockey around his hometown of Hughenden, Alberta.
