Personal Information
With five decades of driving experience, Jim is one of the longest competing drivers in chuckwagon racing today. Jim received the Calgary Stampede's prestigious Guy Weadick Award in 2002 and competed at the Calgary Stampede GMC Rangeland Derby for 35 years of which 33 were consecutive. Prior to joining the WPCA, Jim enjoyed a long and prosperous career on the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) circuit where he won several CPCA show championships, twice qualified for the championship final heat for the CPCA Championship, received the CPCA Award for Excellence in Corporate Involvement in 2001, and was the CPCA's Top Rookie Driver in 1977. In the off-season Jim enjoys traveling, and is the owner of Ultimate Bit Service Inc. Jim is the older brother to fellow driver Ross Knight, cousin to driver Wayne Knight, and uncle of outrider Casey Knight. Jim has 3 children - Chad, Nicole and Chantal - and makes his home in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan.
