The World Professional Chuckwagon Association is pleased to announce a 3 year contract agreement with the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede. The agreement means the WPCA Pro Tour presented by GMC will be racing in Medicine Hat through the 2020 season.

The two parties met back in the fall of 2017 to discuss the details of what a new agreement would look like. It was evident when meeting with the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede that they were committed to hosting a WPCA event for years to come. WPCA President Ed Wittchen noted “it was a pleasure to work with GM Jim MacArthur and the committee who obviously have a great appreciation for the heritage involved in wagon racing and a deep commitment to growing the show with us in future years in Medicine Hat.”

"We talked with a number of our drivers at the end of the 2017 season and they were pleased with the grounds and the committee" said WPCA's Director of Marketing Bryan Hebson.

In 2017 Luke Tournier won the championship while in 2016 it was Doug Irvine and in 2015 Kurt Bensmiller.

The 2018 WPCA Pro Tour presented by GMC will roll into Medicine Hat June 14 - 17. The top 3 drivers in the aggregate standings after the first 3 days of racing qualify for the Sudden Death Championship Dash for Cash.

The GMC supporting dealer in Medicine Hat is Davis GM so please recognize the importance of their support to making this a highlight of the summer.
