2016 was another solid season for Cody on the WPCA Pro Tour and he will make his debut at the Calgary Stampede GMC Rangeland Derby in 2017. He posted 10 top ten runs, including a day money run at the Ponoka Stampede and 6 runs that also cracked the top five. A fourth place tie at the Battle of the Rockies and a fifth place overall aggregate finish at the Strathmore Stampede were his best of the year. Cody received the Kenn Borek Memorial Award for most sportsmanlike driver at the Battle of the North in 2014, and is consistently becoming one of the top performers both on and off the racetrack. He has won day monies at the Ponoka Stampede, Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship and the Saskatoon World Chuckwagon Races, and has been a top promoter of chuckwagon racing to the many fans in the local communities where the WPCA Pro Tour runs. Cody is a 2nd-generation chuckwagon driver whose father is former Calgary Stampede track record holder Glen Ridsdale. Cody started his career at the tender age of 15 with the Western Chuckwagon Association (WCA) in 2003, has won 3 WCA show championships at Rio Grande Rodeo, Manning Rodeo, and the Teepee Creek Stampede, and qualified for the championship final heat at the WCA’s season ending event in Dawson Creek in 2007.
